This lovely center medallion, inspired by a Baltimore Album Quilt in the DAR Museum collection, is rendered in wool with ribbon embellishments. The bird borders are reminiscent of a German Fraktur, as are the hex signs on the corner blocks of the quilt. Our design uses a variety of fibers, including wool, cotton, silk, ribbon, and different weights of embroidery threads to create dimension and interest. Design area of center medallion is 15” square; the quilt finishes at approximately 49” square.
