This design was created to showcase a neutral palette. Appliqué can be done in wool or Japanese neutrals for the leaves and the vase. An assortment of cream, taupe, and beige ribbons are used for the flowers. These neutral shades work together to create an elegant vase of flowers that would be perfect as a wall hanging or a center medallion for a quilt. (You could, of course, choose a more colorful palette, if you wish.)
 
This kit comes with pattern, handout with illustrated directions for making ribbon flowers, background fabric, wool for vase and leaves, floss and pearl cotton for embroidery, and all ribbon needed to complete the block as pictured with neutral colors: 40" cream wired ribbon, 1.5 yards hand-dyed  beige to white 2.5-inch wide bias silk ribbon, 1.5 yards ivory 7mm slk ribbon, and 45 inches of taupe and cream seam binding ribbon. Finished block size is 15 inches, with a 12-inch design area.
